| AVITRU will always provide a free listing within MasterSpec for Building Product Manufacturers who meet the requirements for each respective section and type of product. Most MasterSpec sections include names of product manufacturers. Neither AVITRU nor The American Institute of Architects (AIA) endorse, recommend, or approve any products. Companies listed in MasterSpec as available manufacturers are known to be in business providing products that may comply with the requirements of that section. It is always the specifier's decision whether or not a product meets the requirements of the project and whether or not to retain, edit, or delete the manufacturers listed in MasterSpec. The following three criteria must be met before a manufacturer will be considered for listing in MasterSpec sections: 1. | The manufacturer markets products nationally or multiregionally and has distribution centers and representation across the U.S. or multiregionally. | 2. | The manufacturer's product is covered by a MasterSpec section, the manufacturer's lists are included in the MasterSpec section for that product, and the product complies with applicable national standards, where standards are referenced. (For assistance in determining the appropriate sections, refer to the Consolidated Table of Contents.) | 3. | The manufacturer provides complete up-to-date product information that includes evidence of product compliance with applicable standards and allows comparison with similar products of other manufacturers. | The manufacturer's product is covered by a MasterSpec section, the manufacturer's lists are included in the MasterSpec section for that product, and the product complies with applicable national standards, where standards are referenced. The decision to include a manufacturer or a product in MasterSpec is at the sole discretion of AVITRU. Manufacturers are added to a section only during a regularly scheduled update of the section. There is no charge for the listing in MasterSpec. We now have an online component that allows Manufacturers to logon and manage both the initial request to be listed, as well as the information associated with each respective entry. How will our listing appear within MasterSpec?

Listing within MasterSpec Building Product Manufacturers are listed alphabetically. Some sections list specific products. | | | This list is only updated when a section is updated (this varies from 1 to 5 years) and the new documents are made available for download. | | | | | | | | 2. Listing on the Evaluation Shelf within the SpecAgent Companion Browser Building Product Manufacturers are listed alphabetically and begin in the "Under Consideration" bin until acted on by an individual MasterSpec User. All free listings have a "Contact" button active in the preview key. | | | | This list is updated as soon as a manufacturer is approved and becomes instantly available to MasterSpec users. The import button allows them to "Paste" a recent addition to the manufacturer list directly into the section text, putting recent additions on equal footing with manufacturers who are written into the original source document as part of the last release. | | | | 3.
